the what lies beneath project is a photo journal dedicated to documenting the real, unfiltered stories of women - through portraits, one on one interviews in their own words, and the quiet moments that rarely make it into the highlight reel.
Every woman has a story worth seeing. Not the polished version. The real one.
This project was born from a simple belief: that when women are given space to be exactly as they are, no performance and no pretense, something remarkable happens. They become visible in a way most of us have never been allowed to be.
Each issue features original photography paired with the stories behind the images , where these women have been, what they carry, and what it means to finally be seen.
This is not about beauty as the world defines it. It’s about truth. And truth, it turns out, is far more beautiful.
